Hello and welcome to the Gnosis Picture Archive Blog!

I'm Daphne H, proud owner of Gnosis Picture Archive Etsy shop. My husband David and I  (and occasionally our kids help ) are very fortunate to have finally found something we can work on together without straggling each other in the process...hehe..just kidding...we do get along and agree on most things...most of the time.... after 25 years of marriage...honest! ;).

We happily spend most of our work hours digitally restoring pre- 19th century antique botanical and natural history illustrations and we are so happy to offer reproduction prints based on these illustrations in our Etsy shop. So far we have restored very interesting illustrations of ferns, parrots, flowering cacti, butterflies, sea coral, octopus and squids! I am very passionate about botanical prints, sea shells, whales, sea turtles, humming birds etc.  Eggs and bird nests are my personal favorites so I'll have to sweet talk David into agreement of course!

I would like to use this blog space to post our latest products as well as offer some helpful tips for our customers on how to frame the prints, what sizes frames are suitable, easy ways to hang multiple frames on a wall in a grid etc.

 

It might take me a while to get to all the articles I want to post on this blog though, since school is just starting and we have 4 boys in school who run us both ragged with shopping for school supplies, filling out endless forms and permission slips from their classes etc.

 

Ahh.. so much to do and so little time...but life is happiest when there is family chaos!
